The AGM Taipan V2 25‑384 is a rugged and reliable thermal monocular featuring a 384×288 resolution VOx sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch and NETD below 20 mK, delivering exceptionally sharp thermal imaging at 50 Hz frame rate. It comes equipped with an F/1.0 25 mm germanium lens providing 2.5× optical magnification, while digital zoom extends magnification up to 20×. Images are displayed on a 1024×768 OLED screen enhanced by advanced image processing for clarity in all conditions. Designed for endurance, the unit includes a removable 18650 rechargeable battery offering around 6.5 hours of runtime, a USB‑C port for external power, and a tilt sensor that powers down the display when idle to conserve battery life. It supports Wi‑Fi streaming, onboard video/photo/audio recording to 16 GB of internal memory, stadiametric ranging (spot size estimation), picture-in-picture mode, and employs four color palettes. The housing is IP67 waterproof, built with rubberized armor, and weighs around 0.7 lb, making it ideal for fieldwork.
